Look at me go!

Start off with:

One pair of hideous shoes. (I did not buy these.)

$12.00 I found in my winter coat.

And you get:

How cute are these?

Now I will show you how.

Cut extra pieces off with an exact-o-knife.

Buy glitter. $7.99 at Roberts (they are going out of business - Hobby Lobby works, too) + 40% off coupon available at register = $5.82

Mix mod podge (I already had)

with the glitter

and begin painting. I will look hideous at first. Don't worry, the mod podge dries clear.

I did 4 coats. I used more glitter mixed in the mod podge on the last 3 coats. I was conservative and nervous with my first mixture. You will figure out what ratio to use.
Tip #1: use LOTS of glitter. More than you think.

Ta Da! Beautiful!

Tip #2: use a shoe with a rough-type of outer material. If you have a pair that are slicky, take a little sand paper to them. Mine have began pealing a little.

Keep it in perspective

Boy am I glad I happened to have my mom's laptop with me today at school, otherwise this would never make it on here.

So I'm walking into class and some girl I have never seen before looks at me and says, "Hey, I like your outfit!" Literally what my mind had been thinking about at that time was how bad I think I look in the jeans I'm wearing. It was nice to have a quick little reality check.

21 for 21

So as you may or not know, I turned 21 just a couple weeks ago. This year, instead of doing New Years resolutions, I'm doing 21 goals for my year of 21. And I'm making them realistic... Mostly.

1. Write in my journal 21 days a month.
2. Keep 21 things to myself I should keep to myself.
3. Work out 21 days each month.
4. Complete 21 projects before my year of 22 (many from my beloved Pinterest).
5. Lose 21 lbs.
6. Have 21 wall decor items adorn my walls. (I'm currently at 1.)
7. Take 21 pictures a month, whether Kevin likes it or not.
8. Eat 21 healthy meals a month.
9. Learn 21 easy, healthy recipes.
10. Try/learn 21 new things.
11. Do 21 things with Kevin I've never done with anyone else.
12. Post everything I successfully complete. (They don't all have to have "21" in them.)
13. Grow my hair out.
14. Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
15. Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
16. Stop biting my nails.

...I honestly thought coming up with 21 things would be a whole lot easier...

17. Train Roscoe to know 6 words.
18. Be content with where I am and not always wish for what's in the future.
19. Have my Etsy store be successful.
20. Be more free-spirited.
21. Work on learning either ASL, Spanish, or Mandarin.

I really will try to hold #12 and really post everything. I want to blog much more than I actually do.

It Doesn't Grow On Trees

Today I finally had to do it. I didn't want to, but I didn't really had any other choice. If I didn't it was just going to get worse and worse. And I didn't want that. But I have been working so long and hard for this. Now I'm going to start completely over. I made my bed so now I must lay in it. I let it come to this. I made my decisions.

Before:

Can you see where the braid was that I didn't take out for my last hair cut?

After:

I actually really like it. It's much more ME than the long hair. I think I might just keep it short. But I still have this thought in my head that I want long hair for my wedding. I don't know if I can get over it.

Recap.... Again...

It is really hard to keep caught up. Especially because I moved. And we don't have internet quite yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

Well here's a bit of what has been going on:

Trae turned 9 months old!!!

Baby Trae came and met Matt, Tammy, and their kids.

He loves peek-a-boo.

He gets cuter and cuter every time I see him. I can hardly stand it.

I know....

So I haven't posted anything in so so long. I wish I had a good excuse. But I don't. So here are some pictures of what I've been up to:

I took Cade and Ryder to the duck pond. Cade had a total blast. Ryder wasn't feeling too well and so he was kind of fussy and tired. While I was holding Ryder, sitting on the bench, sweet little Cade picked a flower just for me.

For Easter me and my little sister made Rice Krispy Eggs. They were DELICIOUS! We put M&Ms inside and they got all melty and it was so good.

I took Cade and Ryder to the aquarium up in Sandy. In case you can't tell, there is a theme with these boys. Cade is bounding with excitement, and Ryder is a bit tired. We had loads of fun though. I really miss those boys now.

Seeing Traeson is always so much fun. He is getting such a personality, it's adorable. He's also getting a bit chunky finally. It's very cute.

My mom graduation college. She's not in the picture, all the ones she was in you can't find her anyway. This was the Korean drum band.

I went to visit Hannah in Price at the end of May and chopped my bangs. At 1:30 am. I was terrified when I woke up that they were going to be a disaster. But now it is July and I still have them!

I brought my little puppy, Roscoe, to meet Traeson. Baby Trae loved him! I was so gentle, barley touching his fur. It was adorable!

Thanksgiving Point. Fajita Salads anyone?

My most recent visit was so fun. Trae is really starting to recognize me and seems to know who I am. He lets me hold him without a fuss. He did not appreciate being changed into the outfit I bought him in San Diego, though. But he never likes wardrobe changes. He's crawling really good now and is just starting to pull himself up with furniture to stand. I can't believe how much he is going up. And he is still the absolute cutest boy I've ever seen!
