My Trae

A little over a month ago Dani was sweet enough to take some pictures of me and Trae. They turned out so adorable! She truly is amazing.
I'm so busy with school I have had no time to blog, but here are a few of my favorite pictures. I think these clearly show our wonderful, unique relationship.

I don't know about you, but I'm not longer 22

That's right, I am 23 today.

It wasn't exactly the birthday weekend I was supposed to have. But I did have a blast in all my celebrating!

To start off my birthday celebrations I went to Cornbelly's with Dani and Trae.

We had so much fun!

I'm so glad I got to have a fun day with my favorite boy in the world!

I got a few awesome presents, too.

Even though the awesome day I was supposed to have never happened, I still had a pretty good birthday. Thanks to my wonderful friends and family.

Here's to making this year better than the last!

It's Like Magic!

Yes, I am watching Harry Potter. But this is not about that.
I have been taking a Photoshop class this summer. The first couple of classes didn't leave me with much  confidence in the class. It was a lot of just basic computer knowledge, which I already have. I am by far the youngest one in the class. So I would start looking at the manuel and getting ahead or trying other things while he spent more time explaining how to "Select All" and "Copy" items.
But in class last week we learned how to "Clone" part of a picture. Cloning is the tool you use to get rid of a blemish on someone's face, a shadow on a shoulder, or an entire person if you need to. That is what I did. I took 8 people out of my picture, and their reflections. It took some time, but the picture looks awesome now! I love that I can do something this cool!

Marathon

Okay, this is NOT what it sounds like.
Maybe someday I will run a marathon.
Not anytime soon though.
I am not a runner.

I AM, however, engaging in a dual marathon. A Harry Potter Marathon and a Blogging Marathon. I need to finish my posts about my Pinterest adventures, and a Harry Potter Marathon gives me the perfect excuse to get all my pictures and experiences down.

Pin #1

I thought it was still very cute. It took FOREVER and I did not do nearly as many as she did. If I had a friend help me it would be much more worth it. And if my hair were slightly longer. I may try again toward the end of August and see what I think.

Pin #2

Honestly, I don't like it. It made my makeup routine take longer and it made my eyeshadow look more cakey. It is hard to tell in the picture, but not worth it. I won't be doing this again. Deleted from my Pinterest.

Pin #3

Waste of money. It did not dry my hair any more than it already was and it is a NIGHTMARE to get hair out of the brush. It's harder to brush through your hair with and a better idea than it actually is. Boo. Also, the website the pin is connected to no longer exists. Shocker.

Pin #4

Love this! They are adorable and I will be keeping the liners in mason jars forever I believe.

Pin #5

When I bought this scarf I was originally planning on doing the top right style form the pin. But then my hair was CRAZY greasy and I was running too late to take a shower. Well I love this. I want to try more from the pin. I got loads of compliments and it is just fun and different.

Pin #6

This is fun. The picture is awful, but I got lots of compliments on how fun and interesting my hair was. It is really easy, I wasn't even in front of a mirror when I did it. I do think it would be more adorable if I had bangs, but I am not cutting them just so one hair style will look better.

Well there you have it. These are what I have tried out so far this summer. Not as much as I had hoped, but I'm enjoying doing some of my pins! I will try to be more on top of things and do more. But I don't use my laptop often and this is not something I can do with just my phone.

Thank you Harry Potter, for giving me this opportunity to finish up what I have needed to do for quite some time now.

See you soon!

Super Human

I set this pool up today. I set it up. No help other than my nephews bringing me the pieces. That is an 18 foot pool. I may be a superhero.

Eyelash extensions!

While I was in Hawaii (I'll try to get more pictures up here) my girlfriends have me eyelash extensions. Aren't they just gorgeous?! Also, I love the low maintenance of not putting on mascara anymore.

100 Days of Pinterest

Okay, give or take.

Throughout the summer I am going to try out Pins from my Pinterest.
This will help me to actually do the things I pin, as well as find out if they really do work like they say they do. I will do my best to do one a day. But this is no guarantee of ANY KIND.
I will try out things from crafts to hairstyles to recipes to products.

Should be lots of fun!

Preschool Portions, a Horse, and Some Rainbows

DISCLAIMER: I wrote this forever ago on my phone and kind of forgot about it. When I write a post on my phone it just puts all the pictures at the bottom instead of in the exact place I want it. I know, rude! So I left it as a draft and here we are over a month later. Oh well, here you go!

My phone is very popular with the nursery. So I turned on the camera. Lots of cute little eyes.

A sweet mom with two adorable kids made the picture then have us some beautiful nail polish. Yes, they both now get special treatment.

While driving from my preschool to do my field I saw this: a horse all saddled up and ready to go. There is no trailer in sight. How did it get there? Did someone ride this horse down the road? And if so, why did I not leave work earlier to see that?!

It was so warm that I busted my Rainbow sandals out for the first time this year. Hooray for spring!

Ready For Spring

I am so ready for spring. I bought a new iPad case to help me feel more sunny.

I love yellow.

I also wore my brand new pink TOMS.

I love pink.

Bad Day

So I applied for this internship. I was so excited for it. I feel I have earned one. Everyone was sure I would get one. People would tell me, "Good luck. Not that you need it." Everyone is well aware I am a good teacher and that teaching is what I am meant to do.

The people at Timpanogus Intermediate School do not agree.

I was so passionate about working there. It seems like an amazing school.

So, I was in a very bad mood yesterday. Talk about killing someone's self-esteem. I had a dinner date with my old roommates this same night. I did not tell them what happened.

Now, when I have a had very bad day, I either shut down or do something stupid.

We went to dinner at Red Robin (YUMMMM!) and when or waiter brought our checks back at the bottom it said "Patrick A." Hannah says, "First to find him on facebook wins!" So, to be funny, I looked him up on my phone. Not thinking I would be able to find him with just his last initial.

I found him.

I friended him.

He just accepted my friend request.

How awkward am I?

New Hat!

I made a new hat. Followed a pattern and everything.

Kind of. I usually tweak anything I make.

I love it. VERY warm.

New Year

I have decided to make a few resolutions. Nothing big and life changing, but life-bettering.

1. Work out daily.
Most people make this resolution every year. I just want to be comfortable in my body, I'm not hoping to be a size 2. I just want to be able to feel good.

2. Start a project and complete it before starting a new one.
I am HORRIBLE at this. I always will start a project then think of something new and have 5 half done projects that end up being tossed.

3. Be better with my money.
I recently had to move back home because I could no longer really afford my apartment. This was not all due to my negligence with money, I had to take a lot of time off work for school. I used to be really good about saving my money, but recently that has not been happening at all. I want to get my savings account back up to $1000, as well as having my credit card fully paid off.

4. Take pictures more and do things with those pictures.
I am so bad at taking pictures, I always have been. I want to really document my life in photograph, and then display those pictures more. I have so many pictures I have actually taken, but I am the only one that ever sees them on my phone or camera. That is changing.

5. Blog more.
I go through spurts with this thing. I don't have avid followers by any means, but someday I might. I want to get in the habit now so it is a habit later.

Five resolutions should be easy to keep. All too often people, including me, make 20 resolutions then kick themselves when they don't keep all of them. I don't want to be upset with how I do this year.
