Week 3

I liked Emily on the one on one. I wasn't a huge fan of her on the first episode (the rap) but I really like her now. I like that she got genuinely terrified while climbing the bridge. I know I would have stopped dead in my tracks! I hope she stays around longer.

The group date was funny. That would have been crazy to do! Who wouldn't want to sky down a steep street of San Fran?! I know I would love that. I'm warming up to Rachel more, I'm happy with her getting the rose. She seems to really care about the other girls, and I always like that.

I can't believe Brittney went home! She didn't seem like the type who would just leave. Especially when she brought her grandma.

I loved the date with Lindzi. Most because I don't like Lindzi and you could tell she was filling in for Brittney. I LOVED that. She kept saying how special it was just for her, when really it wasn't planned just for her. HA!

I liked that Shawntel came to try to date Ben. I would have liked if he had kept her. Who cares if she is coming in two weeks late or that she was on a previous season? She has talked to Ben and has gotten to know him, she's probably had as much total time with Ben as any of the other girls. They were all just being emotional.

I respect that Ben didn't give out the last rose. If he didn't feel a strong enough of a connection it was brave of him to send 3 girls home.

Week 2

I know these are back to back. But oh well. I need to catch up. I won't go into as much detail from now on compared to the first post.

I really like Jennifer. She is fine with just any date. That's so great.

I like Kasie B, I'm glad she has the first one-on-one date. The date was cute. Very casual in the beginning and I love that. The video was so cute!

Courtney is nasty. She's a model, typical.

"Come play with me." Clever Bachelor writers! The play was goofy and I liked it.

I can't decide how I feel about Blakeley. Everyone hates her, but I don't see a reason to yet. And she got the rose... The claws come out!

Jenna went home - not surprised, she was an emotional wreck.

The Bachelor Begins!

I know I am a little late starting this season, but I didn't realize when it started then had to wait for it to come on On Demand.
Let's start with Ben. I liked him on Bachelorette. But I don't know if I'm going to love him as the Bachelor. He's too sensitive for my taste, I think is the issue. He is rather good looking, but he's just not my type. I'm starting the season with an open mind, though.
Bring on the women!
Rachel, Fashion Sales Rep - 27 - New York, NY
Deep voice. I'm so critical. Left her job for the show. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! Second rose.

Erika, Law Student - 23 - Chicago, IL
Eighth rose.

Amber B, Labor and Delivery Nurse - 23 - Port Coquitlam, Canada
I really don't like her.

Elyse, Personal Trainer - 24 - Chicago, IL
Twelfth rose.

Jenna, Blogger - 27 - New York, NY
I wonder if the blogger enjoys being blogged about? She is a little crazy. She overthinks everything. There really isn't a problem, but she's making it a problem. She needs to calm down. One girl (Utah girl) turned her upside down and she is freaking out. Wow... Seventeenth (and final) rose.

Courtney, Model - 28 - Santa Monica, CA
Fourteenth rose.

Emily, PhD Student - 27 - Chapel Hill, NC
Her rap was weird. Fourth rose.

Samantha, Advertising Accounts Manager - 26 - LA, CA
HATE the sash. Don't wear a beauty pageant sash and then say you're not just a pageant girl. Bugged... Thirteenth rose.

Casey S, Trading Clerk - 26 - Leawood, KS
Gross dress. Sixth rose.

Amber T, Critical Care Nurse - 29 - Waverly, NE
She was cute. I liked the Love at First Sight/Second Chance thing.

Holly, Pharmaceutical Sales Rep - 34 - Salyersville, KY
I don't like the big hat. I'll attribute it to her age though.

Jamie, Registered Nurse - 25 - Dryden, NY
First rose.

Shira, Actress - No Age - LA, CA
Why did it not say her age? That bothers me a lot. Makes me already hate her a little bit. Her wine thing was funny, though.

Blakeley, VIP Cocktail Waitress - 34 - Charlotte, NC
I don't like the tattoo. Third rose.

Brittney, Medical Sales Rep - 26 - Denver, CO
I thought the grandma thing was cute. I was freaked at first, but I think Ben loved it. Seventh rose.

Nicki, Dental Hygienist- 26 - Hurst, TX
She's cute. I hope the divorce doesn't hurt her. "He's honest, he's genuine, he's sincere." He's a synonym? Tenth rose.

Dianna, Non-Profit Director - 30 - San Gabriel, CA

Jennifer, Accountant - 28 - Oklahoma City, OK
I like her. She's so confident. And I liked the number thing she did. Eleventh rose.

Lyndsie J, Internet Entrepreneur - 29 - Scottsdale, AZ
She has one of those annoying English accents. I don't think I am going to like her because of it, even though she's pretty funny.

Anna, Student - 25 - Detroit, MI
I liked that she didn't say anything.

Monica, Dental Consultant - 33 - Salt Lake City, UT
I have high expectations for the Utah girl! Utah has been infamous for crazy characters. Though they also have been GORGEOUS, so I already think she is falling short. From the commercials and "up next" clips she seems dumb. Boo! The dog thing was dumb, and just to get Ben to remember her. Her laugh is scary! Is she a lesbian? She is being super weird. Sixteenth rose.

Jaclyn, Adveretising Account Manager - 27 - Newton, MA
Fifteenth rose.

Shawn, Financial Director - 28 - Phoenix, AZ
Ninth rose.

Kacie B, Administrative Assistant - 24 - Clarksville, TN
Fifth rose.

Lindzi C, Business Development Manager - 27 - Seattle, WA
I hated the horse thing. Maybe just because I hate horses. Either way, LAME. She got the first impression rose? I don't like her. Ugh.

Ben is really good at getting over awkward moments. That is a wonderful quality to have.

I am going to LOVE this season. I thoroughly enjoy watching other people's drama.

Let's be a girl

So for the month of February I have decided to wear red, pink, or purple everyday. I feel it is festive. I do not own many red, pink, and purple clothes. Either I will re-wear a lot of outfit, or I will be shopping a bit this month. (I like the second idea best.)

I did not have time to post yesterday as I was visiting Trae. But here is my outfit from yesterday:

Purple cheetah print shirt, black jeggings, and riding boots.

Today was blue day at school. So, naturally, I wore all blue. Luckily for my plan this month a was PEED ON BY A SMALL CHILD and had to change my pants. So I opted for my red Dixie sweat pants. I obviously have a wonderful night of great adventures planned.

No picture is needed, I look ridiculous.

Look at me go!

Start off with:

One pair of hideous shoes. (I did not buy these.)

$12.00 I found in my winter coat.

And you get:

How cute are these?

Now I will show you how.

Cut extra pieces off with an exact-o-knife.

Buy glitter. $7.99 at Roberts (they are going out of business - Hobby Lobby works, too) + 40% off coupon available at register = $5.82

Mix mod podge (I already had)

with the glitter

and begin painting. I will look hideous at first. Don't worry, the mod podge dries clear.

I did 4 coats. I used more glitter mixed in the mod podge on the last 3 coats. I was conservative and nervous with my first mixture. You will figure out what ratio to use.
Tip #1: use LOTS of glitter. More than you think.

Ta Da! Beautiful!

Tip #2: use a shoe with a rough-type of outer material. If you have a pair that are slicky, take a little sand paper to them. Mine have began pealing a little.

Keep it in perspective

Boy am I glad I happened to have my mom's laptop with me today at school, otherwise this would never make it on here.

So I'm walking into class and some girl I have never seen before looks at me and says, "Hey, I like your outfit!" Literally what my mind had been thinking about at that time was how bad I think I look in the jeans I'm wearing. It was nice to have a quick little reality check.

21 for 21

So as you may or not know, I turned 21 just a couple weeks ago. This year, instead of doing New Years resolutions, I'm doing 21 goals for my year of 21. And I'm making them realistic... Mostly.

1. Write in my journal 21 days a month.
2. Keep 21 things to myself I should keep to myself.
3. Work out 21 days each month.
4. Complete 21 projects before my year of 22 (many from my beloved Pinterest).
5. Lose 21 lbs.
6. Have 21 wall decor items adorn my walls. (I'm currently at 1.)
7. Take 21 pictures a month, whether Kevin likes it or not.
8. Eat 21 healthy meals a month.
9. Learn 21 easy, healthy recipes.
10. Try/learn 21 new things.
11. Do 21 things with Kevin I've never done with anyone else.
12. Post everything I successfully complete. (They don't all have to have "21" in them.)
13. Grow my hair out.
14. Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
15. Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
16. Stop biting my nails.

...I honestly thought coming up with 21 things would be a whole lot easier...

17. Train Roscoe to know 6 words.
18. Be content with where I am and not always wish for what's in the future.
19. Have my Etsy store be successful.
20. Be more free-spirited.
21. Work on learning either ASL, Spanish, or Mandarin.

I really will try to hold #12 and really post everything. I want to blog much more than I actually do.
